Senior Center activities
BENNINGTON -- Bennington Senior Center activities today will include bone builders from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; Quilting from 1 to 3 p.m.; beginning belly dance from 5 to 7:30 p.m.; and a trip to see "Oliver" at The MacHaden Theatre from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students present
BENNINGTON -- Students at the Sacred Heart St. Francis School will present the musical, "Suessical, Jr." on Thursday, June 7, Friday, June, 8, and Saturday, June 9 at the school on School Street. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
Red Cross blood drive
BENNINGTON -- SVMC will hold a Red Cross blood drive Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Walk-ins are always welcome. If you have any concerns about a first-time blood donation, feel free to check out the website at www.redcrossblood.org. All presenting donors will receive a free day pass to a Vermont state park, a chance to win a kayak from Old Town Canoe, a coupon for a free 24-pack of Nice! Spring water and a State of Vermont t-shirt.
Bingo at Pownal Legion
POWNAL -- Pownal American Legion Post No. 90 offers bingo every Thursday evening. Doors and concession open at 5 p.m. There will be 30 games, including three progressive jackpots, door prizes, raffles, and family fun.
Caregivers workshop -- ‘Music and Memories’
BENNINGTON -- A free Bennington County caregivers workshop -- "Music and Memories: Music and the Brain," will be presented by Susan Wehry, M.D., from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver St. Light supper will be provided. Bennington Free Clinic
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Free Clinic is held each Thursday starting at 6 p.m. This clinic is for uninsured people 18 years of age or older, who would otherwise fall through the cracks of our fractured health care system. It is located in the First Baptist Church at 601 Main St. Call 447-3700 for an appointment to be seen.
Peace Resource Center Event
BENNINGTON -- The Peace Resource Center will hold its June gathering at the CAT-TV Headquarters on Main Street. First there will be a pot luck dinner at 6:15 p.m. followed by the business agenda. This includes a drawing for the hammock made in Nicaragua that was offered in the Mayfest raffle.

Flag Day Ceremony Sunday
BENNINGTON -- The Elks Bennington Lodge will hold a Flag Day ceremony on Sunday, June 10, at 1 p.m. at the lodge on Washington Avenue. There will be a picnic lunch after the ceremony.
