On Tuesday, April 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the public is invited by the Bennington Chamber and the Shires of Vermont organization to a cocktail reception as we unveil a new brochure rack distribution system. This launch party is being held at Clearbrook Farm in Shaftsbury who generously donated the space. It is free and open to the public and offers light refreshments, cash bar, and live music.
A work in progress for the past three years, the racks have now been delivered and they are ready to be filled with information pertaining to businesses in our region. With twenty-four high traffic locations reaching from Hoosick Falls, NY to Manchester, VT, it is the goal of the new rack system to educate visitors and residents on each location, and present the wide array of varied and engaging destinations within our region. Jonah Spivak, a board member of The Shires organization and Vice President for the Bennington Chamber board said it best, "There is so much to see and do here, we want to ensure that visitors know that they can spend a day or two, or more right here in The Shires of Vermont."
What I really love about this concept, having come from the marketing world, is that this opportunity allows for placement pricing at a fraction of the cost compared to other distribution networks. Placement of your marketing collateral is available by the month or for several months with a beginning low cost of $59 per month. Certain plans offer businesses' brochures to be displayed online at no additional cost. This is a great and affordable value for our members, small businesses and other local shops!
What is The Shires of Vermont organization? It is the official designation for Vermont's southwest corner in Bennington County, which refers to the beautiful region nestled between the Taconic Mountains to the west and Green Mountains to the east. The name "Shires" is rooted in both the area's rich history and the important connection between its north and south shire communities. Anchored by Bennington, the South Shire, and Manchester, the North Shire, The Shires of Vermont group is a RMO (or Regional Marketing Organization) set up by the State and collectively makes up 15 quintessential Vermont towns and villages connected by a scenic ribbon of highway known as Historic Route 7A.
Get in on the ground floor of this new and affordable plan. Join us on April 12 for the kick-off cocktail party at Clearbrook Farm and sign-up to have your business present in the racks.
