PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Funeral services were held for four young children who died last month in a fast-moving blaze that engulfed at least 10 Philadelphia homes, and fire officials announced that an investigation couldn't determine the exact cause.
The service was held Saturday at Divine Mercy Parish in Philadelphia. It had been delayed to allow time for the children's Liberian grandparents to attend.
The Philadelphia Fire Department announced Friday that an investigation couldn't pinpoint an exact cause of the fire. It began on a couch that was on the porch of one of the row houses, but the flames were so hot that they destroyed evidence that could have determined what sparked them.
The fire claimed four-year-old twin sisters Maria and Marialla Bowah, 1-month-old Taj Jaque and 4-year-old Patrick Sanyeah.
