RAYMERTOWN, N.Y. - Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of an early morning accident Saturday on Route 7 that sent four to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, Collette Hoag, 25, of Hoosick, was reported to be eight-months pregnant according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department. Police said Hoag had to be extracted from the vehicle before she was transported to Albany Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said a 911 call was placed from the McDonald's on Route 7 in Brunswick at 5:25 a.m. Saturday morning for a report of a westbound reckless driver. While deputies were responding to that call, a single-vehicle crash was reported near the Raymertown garage. Deputies found the 2010 Hyundai Elantra off the roadway in a ditch with extensive damage.

Three passengers in the vehicle, Thomas Dalliard, of Colonie, and Domenic Thane and Rebecca Silver, both of Bennington, Vt., were also transported to Albany Medical Center. Police said in a written release Sunday morning that all were listed in critical condition. NewsChannel 13 reported the vehicle's three passengers in stable condition Sunday afternoon, while Hoag remained in critical.
