BENNINGTON - A fixture of the downtown restaurant scene will be closing, according to a letter from its owner, T.J. Carmody.
"Three weeks short of fourteen years, the economy has done us in. We want to thank everyone that has supported us over the last 13 years and look forward to extending that relationship at our Wood Fired Pizza restaurant in Hoosick, New York," reads the letter, delivered to the Banner on Monday.
According to sources New Year's Day will be Carmody's Irish Pub's last day open. Arrangements are being made with other establishments
to honor Carmody's gift certificates.
