WOODFORD - Vermont State Police said they arrested a Bennington man for the alleged theft of a washer and dryer from a home on Penny Lane while the owner was away.
According to Vermont State Trooper James Wright, on Monday police received a report from Gerald Smith, who said sometime since Nov. 9 a washer and dryer was stolen from his garage while he was out of town. Police said their investigation led them to Daniel Ferris, 29, of Bennington. Ferris was cited to appear in Bennington Superior Court Criminal Division.
