SHAFTSBURY - State police said a Bennington woman was taken to the hospital for possible injuries after she rolled her vehicle Monday morning while trying to avoid hitting a deer on a snow covered road.
Police said the crash happened at 8:40 a.m., on Buck Hill Road. Elizabeth Beaudoin, 36, was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger when a deer ran in front of her. She hit her brakes and the car slid out of control, turning 180 degrees and rolling onto its passenger side. Beaudoin was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center to be evaluated for possible injuries. Police said the crash is still under investigation.
