RUPERT -- Police said a driver from Salem, N.Y., crashed Route 153 near the border with New York Wednesday morning.

Vermont State Police Trooper James Wright said Dylan Miller was driving north when he fell asleep. His 2001 Subaru Forrester crossed the center line and beyond the southbound lane before colliding with a tree around 8 a.m. Wright said Miller was transported to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with leg and head injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Wright at 802-442-5421.
