WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Cambridge Central School led Washington County area schools once again in the recently released Capital District Business Review.

This year, CCS ranked as one of the top 10 schools, rising one notch up from eleventh last year, to tenth this year, against much larger area schools including Niskayuna, rated first; North Colonie, fourth; Saratoga Springs, sixth; and Shenendehowa, ninth.

The rankings, of all K-12 districts in the 11-county Capital region, are based on data released by the NYSED and Office of the New York State Comptroller.

In addition to the 85 Capital Region schools, the Capital District Business Review also ranks the 455 school districts north of Orange and Dutchess counties.

In those rankings, Cambridge was once again the first Washington County school ranked, falling at No. 45 out of the 455 schools.

Last year, Cambridge was included in the 430 upstate districts ranked by the Buffalo Business First, at No. 61, again the top ranked school in Washington County.

These rankings represent the collective performance of the elementary, middle, and high school students across 192 statistical components.
