Bluegrass concert at Bennington Center for the Arts
Emmylou Harris said about Jimmy Gaudreau and Moondi Kline's newest CD, "Home from the Mills," "These two gifted artists, armed only with their instruments, voices, and a good bunch of songs, have produced a record that is a joy to listen to. Thanks, Moondi and Jimmy, for reminding us that less truly can be more."
Audiences around the Bennington area can come and hear the duo personally, this Saturday night, October 19 at The Bennington Center for the Arts.
On stage with only one guitar, one mandolin and their classically trained voices, the two will share with audiences their own creativity in music that ranges from traditional folk and ballads to contemporary songs written by the two artists.
Gaudreau and Kline have been performing together since 1990 when they were introduced at a mutual friend's picking party. After singing a few tunes together, it quickly became evident that they were a great fit. Their first CD as a duo, "2:10 Train" on Rebel Records, gained international acclaim. From this release came many opportunities to perform including a tour of the US and Canada as co-bill and opening artists for Emmylou Harris.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the concert begins at 8:00.
