WHITE CREEK, N.Y. -- Pompanuck Farm will offer "An Introduction to Large Brush Chinese Calligraphy" with Scott Carrino.
Calligraphy is considered one of the highest forms of fine arts of China and Japan. The characters are symbolic of the human experience as it relates to our environment, spirituality and every day living.
Carrino has been studying Chinese calligraphy for the past 17 years and offers this workshop for participants to learn the techniques of large brush painting of characters and the meaning behind each brush stroke. Participants will learn proper brush and ink technique and leave with an understanding of numerous meaningful characters. No experience is necessary.
Wear dark clothing. Lunch is included.
