Saturday, May 10 MONTPELIER (AP) — The top Democrat in the Vermont Senate is facing criticism for comments he made this week that Gov. Jim Douglas' vetoes of campaign finance bills two years in a row left Vermont without any campaign finance law. Saturday, May 10 WINDSOR (AP) — After a year in the job, Police Chief James Cushing has resigned, citing long hours and what he felt was insufficient pay, town officials said. Cushing, who was appointed to the $49,900-a-year job last year, may return to the department in another role, according to interim Town Administrator Mike Farrell.   Full Story
